The cascades farms organic granola bar was the first granola bar I tested in the spring of 2015. I’m typically not a huge fan of organic because of their slightly elevated prices. But when I had the opportunity to try these granola bars I gave it a shot.
At first glance, this looks like your typical granola bar. Although the packaging claims that it is USDA Organic, this bar doesn’t taste anything like in organic granola bar. There was no cardboard or dry sawdust anywhere to be found, but what was there was sweet, melt in your mouth vanilla chips and a lightly crunchy granola. The ingredients are all natural and whole, giving you peace of mind that there are no toxic additives to take away from the enjoyment of your snack.
Out of the granola bars that I’ve tried over the past several years these mass manufactured organic granola bar was one of the best. I would recommend this product to somebody who is looking to add a quick snack to their pack on a future hike. In addition to being “healthy” and “Organic”, the price point on these bars from Amazon are approximately $0.45 per bar, making it an affordable option.
